Todd Dunlap
2025 USMRA

SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR

West Penn Mondio Club:  Todd Dunlap has consistently been a significant positive influence on our organization. His dedication and passion for Mondioring remain evident even after more than a decade of active participation. Throughout the years, he has served on the Board of Directors and contributed to numerous USMRA committees. Todd is a certified decoy and has been for many years. Since 2011, Todd has trialed six different dogs in Mondioring, including participation in multiple Championships. He plans to start trialing his young dog, Picard, this year.

Todd founded the West Penn Mondioring Club and serves as its Training Director. His coaching has led to new clubs, certified decoys, training decoys, and numerous podium placing teams at National and International competitions. His club has produced many titled dogs, including 18 Mondioring 3 teams. Todd is competitive. He pushes himself to excel without undermining others. He challenges his club members to strive for their best in a supportive and drama-free environment.

When USMRA requested bids for the 2025 National Championship, some West Penn members were initially hesitant due to the magnitude of the
task. However, Todd successfully convinced the club to submit what ultimately became the sole bid.

In addition to managing his family life and running a business, Todd remains committed to promoting Mondioring. He offers low-cost protection sport training days every month where he develops dogs, handlers and decoys while gently steering them towards our fun and challenging sport.

Todd’s tireless dedication to his club members, his on-going promotion of Mondioring and continued support of USMRA by hosting trials, decoy training and the 2025 National Championship all support his nomination for the 2025 Sportsmanship Award!
